In the late 60's B&G Founder Bill Wall worked as a mechanic for Valdy Traviers. His passion for lorries and as a hobbiest, got him the chance to purchase an ex-brewery truck of his own.
Bill's son in-law Tom who worked at Baggeridge Brick company won Bill the opportunity to be able to transport and dispatch bricks. He was then able to win contracts with Ford and Rover moving auto-parts and mix materials for local foundries.

Fabrications, pipes, castings, where part of the normal run for the B&G Family haulage trucks. Food and household products to major supermarket chains with cash and carry networks where a bonus to the family run business.
Although Janet Bil's daughter joined the B&G family in the late 60's to keep the company books in order. Joanne Bill's granddaughter also got involved with the company accounts in 1992.
1994
The B&G Transport family grew from strength to strength starting from one truck to a whole fleet of up to 15 trucks by the late 90's. The man that left behind a brand to remember and a legacy in the haulage business passed away peacefully in 1994.
Bill's son in-law Tom naturally became Managing Director with Bill's Grandson Jason Brookes joining as a mechanic from the local Scania dealer garage. Tom also passed away in 2010 with Jason becoming the Managing Director of B&G Transport LTD.
